I’ve been coming to the White Mountains region of New Hampshire, specifically Franconia Notch since I was 5 years old. Every summer my parents would make the trip up here for two weeks in August. It became my home away from home. I shared my love of this area with Craig (my boyfriend at the time) and he too saw why it was so great to get away here. In November of 1998 he drove me here, up to one of the scenic turnouts on the Kancamagus, in the snow, and handed me a box. My camera and my photography has taken a back seat over the past few years while I worked very hard at staying current in the web design & development field and lay a lot of groundwork for a business. Finally on vacation and I was determined to relax away from the computer and take photos. So far this is my favorite.
Well I’ve fallen behind again on posting. The HondaSUV Olympics have come and gone. It was a great event hosted by the talented Varmint (aka Kyle). We had one more car than we had the previous Olympics. The events were a blast as always, and amazingly enough mother nature held out and gave us some beautiful weather. The event was in the Franconia Notch of New Hampshire’s White Mountains. Cannon Mountain played host to us again. We did our usual blindfolded auto cross, and then I think it was called Crazy Commute. I ended up coming in, in 3rd place. Which I wasn’t even trying, so I guess I can’t complain.
