Wifi has got to be one of the best inventions of the 20th century or was it 21st century. I don’t know, but it’s great. I’m sitting at a Starbucks right now, reading the news, sipping my tall cafe mocha, and chatting with friends online. All wirelessly, granted Starbucks has picked my pocket to have this convenience, and then charge me some ridiculous price for a coffee, but hey it’s fun. I recently just got my GoMadic cable for my iQue so that now my iQue can get on the internet. With the rumors of some amazing products in the PDA market in the near future, I’m reluctant to buy the Enfora wifi case for the iQue, for two reason; a) price, if something new really is on the way from Garmin, I’ll save my money and just get a […]
Well I’ve never taken a photo of all my gadgets, so I finally did the other night. My 3 can’t live with outs are my PB15″, Sony Ericsson T616 BT cell phone and my Garmin iQue 3600. They all talk together, for the most part. The iQue talks to the mac but not the cell phone, which Garmin I’d really like to see fix on the next model. Well anyways, here’s a pic of everything charging back up at the end of the day. The iQue is my PDA and GPS Navigator. The cell is pretty self explanatory and the laptop, well it’s everything 🙂 Also in the pic are my apple bt wireless mouse, took a little adjusting, but now I love it. And my retractable sync cord, can’t live without it. lol.
There is a website that I have been viewing for about 4 months now. I had been admiring it’s design, and when I when I switched my site to using iBlog, I grabbed the CSS from this designers website. Which I had planned to use a base to get acquainted with iBlog. But it ended up staying up longer than I had wanted and I never contacted the designer. Which I do apologize for. Meanwhile today I redesigned my site. Kit’s website is a great site. If your in the design field, I’d highly recommend viewing the site on a regular basis. He also has wonderful photography. I particularly like his photography of his cat, since I can never get Melody to photograph that well. Kit also has a wonderful resourceful of interesting links about design. Check his site out […]
Welcome to Couch Cam. I’m trying out some new software from Evological, called EvoCam. It’s using my Apple iSight to broadcast an image every-time their is movement. I set the camera up facing the couch, a bit safer than straight back which would have been the bedroom. Most of the time, or at least I’m hoping, you’ll find Melody. Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s you might find Craig. Should be interesting. You can find Couch Cam in the right hand side bar. Click the photo to see a larger version. Enjoy!
That was a question I was asking myself last week, as I waited for my Garmin iQue to return from being RMA’d. It has only taken me 7 years to fully start using a PDA (i.e. Palm Pilot). I was hot to get the first one that came out the PalmPilot Professional. I even upgraded the RAM to 1MB. It was the coolest gadget, and surely this would make my life better. Well, then I got a Palm Vx in Feb 2000 as a birthday present, wow leaps and bounds better in technology. Still I carried it around, had some games on it and my address book. Then in November 2001 my business had it’s first significant client, and with the money from that project I got a Palm M505. Woohoo I had finally entered into the world of color. […]
This past week I’ve gotten some goodies for my Palm M505. I bought a Magellan GPS Companion for it, along with the Palm Modem, you’ve got to love eBay. Both items work great, so now when I’m on the road, I can still get internet. The GPS has enabled me to take part in a really fun game called Geocaching. I encourage you to check it out. I added some pictures to the Gallery of my first two cache finds. Also 2 weeks ago I hosted a CRV meet in Mystic, CT. It was a lot of fun and the weather held out nicely for us. I am very much looking forward to the leaves changing color and going away to do some lead peeping. Mmmm…..apple cider time of year.
