Making pancakes for brunch, originally uploaded by criana. We ran out of pancake mix and from bed, I searched on my iPad for “pancake mix from scratch” and came back with this recipe. I made it this morning and Craig said they were some of the best pancakes he’s had. Love the internet.
Warm weather snacks, originally uploaded by criana. I’ve come to memorize the recipe for this guacamole. I found it on AllRecipes.com and it’s the one with the highest rating. I chose it not only for the rating but for the simplicity of the recipe and lack of extra crap being added to it. I don’t like guacamole with sour cream or cheese. Those stay in their own dips. I’m looking forward to warm weather, guacamole and a beer on lazy afternoons.
I was on a roll with knitting in 2005-2007 and then I put it down for a while. This year I’ve decided to finish up all those projects that have been bagged and stored for a “later date”. Progress is being made. I started these March 2007 and as of last night I finished them. They were made with Debbie Bliss Cashmerino Aran, which I love. They’re soft, light and don’t make me itch. It’s interesting to see how my knitting has changed over the years as well. The second glove is much loser and flexible. My first glove I was still a very cautious knitter who knit very tightly. Now that these are finished I think I’ll make another pair in another color.
